Ultra LED Light Sources provide exceptional coupling efficiency between UV and VIS LEDs and single optical fibers. The result is a powerfull source of light for fluorescence, spectroscopy or general fiber illumination applications.

Innovative electronics drive the LEDs with a stable high current  and allows them to be run at even higher peak currents when operated in the external triggered mode. The user can select continuous, externally triggered or OFF from a switch on the front. A separate switch allows you to adjust the power level. All functions can also be accessed through a 15 pin interface connector. An optional USB controller can be used to customize the settings including the drive current, pulse width and pulse frequency.

LEDS are availble at nearly every 5nm increment in wavelength from 250nm to 630nm. The table below shows stock items.

MUlti-LED Sources

Multiple LED sources provide an easy way to deliver multiple wavelengths of light sequentially, or combined for excitation/emission mapping in fluorescence, ultra low stray light absorbance measurements and other applications. The built in controller provides for high power low duty cycle pulsing, external triggering and outgoing trigger signals and power level in CW mode. Tell us which wavelengths you need, we'll build them in. Or, you can buy replacement pigtailed LEDS (below) and change them yourself.

Fiber Pigtailed LEDS

The LEDS are coupled to 600 micron diamter silica core/silica clad optical fibers mounted in an SMA splice busihing. You can buy these pigtailed LEDS for direct replacement in the LLS UV source, or you can use them as a component of your own electronics.
